Laurence Lebon

director
Laurence Marie Lebon is a writer, archivist, curator and curator and has been homeschooling her two lovely daughters for 7 years. Because she likes to travel, she studied in the US and received a degree in art history from Emory University. Subsequently, New York became her second home. She learned the publishing and film business through meetings with Phong Bui, founder of The Brooklyn Rail and collaboration with Jonas Mekas, founder of Anthology Film Archives. Dreams about “Le Plat Pays” called her back to her native land. Back in Belgium, education became her field of interest and she gained practical experience in a childcare center, a secondary school, in adult education, study guidance centers and as a museum guide. These experiences made her think about the individual and collective impact of parenting. She initiated the inner path under the guidance of Hidayat Inayat Khan, composer and author, from whom she learned about classical music. Today she continues this inner path under the guidance of Pir Zia Inayat Khan, scholar and author. To satisfy her thirst for knowledge and to make known avant-garde sources, she founded the publishing house Pirani.
